Imperfect Perfect

'Imperfect Perfect'
The silent debate.
To start off this task we did a silent debate I have attached images of some of the mind maps that we wrote on as this was the only form of communication in the classroom to 'discuss' our opinions on the difference between what was imperfection and perfection?
I found this really hard to not talk to express my ideas with the people around me but it was a fun and interactive way for us to think differently and communicate in a different way.
Making our imperfect/perfect cubes

Our initial brief was to make one perfect 10x10cm cube and one imperfect cube. the first net I made wasn't great therefor I automatically classed this as my imperfect cube, I knew how to improve the second net by learning from my mistakes such as not having enough tabs or cutting the edges to short.
Destroy one of the cubes!
Once I had created an imperfect and a perfect cube I was tasked with destroying one of them and documenting it by video.
I photographed my 'perfect' cubes in the sunlight and outside where as my imperfect ones I photographed by the bins. I wanted a contrast to the placement of each cube and the setting to reflect its imperfect or perfect state.
An extension to this task was to create a third personalised cube, I documented the stages of making this third cube and really like how it came out.
As a whole this task links to the theme of messages very strongly because I think it concentrates on the message that we send on the standards of different things in order to be imperfect or perfect.
